This has changed in the last week or two and after registering Office on the account, it no longer provides a key but instead tells you to sign in to activate, which I'd rather not have to do. ![]() the $299 or more for volume licenses, since H&B can't be volume licensed and we don't need Access, which is included with Standard.Īnyway, we were buying the keys, registering them on a Microsoft account shared by the IT dept., and were then provided a key that could be entered on the PC to activate Office without signing in to an account. Is there really no way to find that key now? Do we have to sign in when installing/activating Office?ĭetails: We've been buying MS Office Home & Business keycards or electronic licenses rather than buying a volume license. Has anyone else noticed you can no longer view an activation key in your Microsoft account online? When you buy a digital license for Office, for example, and you register it with an email address, you were able to view an activation/installation key until the last couple of weeks.
